From: Iosepa Nawahine <iosepa.nawahine@missionary.org> Date: Mon, Sep 28, 2020 at 5:41 PM Subject: General Conference Aloha family, I hope you are all doing well and have had am amazing week! I apologize for not sending an email last week but I hope you could all feel my love still, but more importantly the love of our savior. I have been transferred!! I moved from newberg to eola hills where I am now a ZL... yay... jk I love it so much. My new companion is elder fabrizio and he is such a stud! He is from tabiona utah and has been out the same time as me. He loves basketball and loves to do rodeos as well. We've had a blast these past couple of days we've been together. This week was very interesting but very spiritual as well. On saturday my companion and I were walking around trying to talk to anyone and we found a couple of people. When we were walking, we ran into an older man who was struggling to park his scooter on a platform on the back of his car. We rushed to h...

From: Iosepa Nawahine <iosepa.nawahine@missionary.org> Date: Mon, Sep 14, 2020 at 7:44 PM Subject: Want this smoke... no lol Aloha family,  I hope all is well with everyone and I pray that everyone is staying safe with everything going on. This week was different as you probably can tell from my title haha. There are a bunch of wildfires in oregon and surrounding oregon, so oregon has been covered in a cloud of smoke this whole week. Fortunately I have been ok but some missionaries have had to evacuate because of how close the fires got. Luckily they made it out safely and they are safe and sound with other missionaries. The air quality is hazardous outside so they put us in lockdown until further notice. But at least we have been able to make some funny videos. So I would like to talk about faith for a little bit because it has been on my mind for a while. I might have talked about this before but it's always a good reminder;) so we learn in ether 12:6 and also Hebrew...

From: Iosepa Nawahine <iosepa.nawahine@missionary.org> Date: Mon, Sep 7, 2020 at 6:26 PM Subject: Cheehoo!! Aloha family! Thank you all for the birthday wishes! My birthday was definitely one to remember one because I am on the mish but because I know I have family behind me as well. I hope you are all well this week and especially on this day. This past week we had our mission tour and a zone conference. For our mission tour, we had our area president talk to us over zoom and let me just say: wow... he really laid down the law for all of us and has inspired to be so much better. He talked about obedience and how it builds faith. He talked about having a good attitude about everything no matter what is thrown at you! He talked about how no effort is wasted when you are using that effort for the lord. He literally had and taught with so much power that you could feel it over zoom. It was a very spiritual experience for me. This week I celebrated my 20th birthday! I just kick...

From: Iosepa Nawahine <iosepa.nawahine@missionary.org> Date: Mon, Aug 31, 2020 at 5:33 PM Subject: Obedience brings blessings Aloha family, This week was an amazing and inspiring week for me and my district, but I'll save the best for last. Anyways, this week we had a couple of service projects this week and even a lot of member lessons. The members in our ward are solid and love to serve the Lord. Their faith is really strong and they just want to come back to church like the rest of us. This week we had the opportunity to talk to two older ladies in our apartment complex. They are really sweet and they have a strong faith in god. They are not members of our church but their beliefs align very closely with ours. We had a great conversation about the will of God and what we can do to improve the world around us. They were so friendly and we left them with a Restoration pamphlet to read and study and said we could come back and talk more. Then we also had a lesson with two ...

WEEK 50: So let it be WRITTEN....so let it be DONE!

From: Iosepa Nawahine <iosepa.nawahine@missionary.org> Date: Mon, Aug 24, 2020 at 5:10 PM Subject: Help of these Plates! Aloha family, I hope you are all well! I miss you all and think about you often. So this week was another crazy service week. We had service every day this week and it was amazing. It ranged from weeding, sweeping, lifting, throwing, and some breaking lol. I got some pretty cool battle scars from a black berry bush we tried to attack... though I think it attacked us more haha. So our area finally got a car!! We share it with another companionship from the other ward but it is still ours. It is an electric blue 2020 equinox and definitely the nicest car I have driven in my life lol. It is kind of funny because a lot of missionaries drive the nicest cars they'll ever drive when they are on their mission lol. This week we had a couple of member meals and we 2 bbqs with families from both wards. It tasted so good and was definitely needed... or wanted. We tau...

From: Iosepa Nawahine < iosepa.nawahine@missionary. org > Date: Mon, Aug 17, 2020 at 6:48 PM Subject: Attitude Aloha family,  I hope you all had a fantastic faithful week! My week was good and very fast. We did a service project literally every single day... and it was amazing. I know I already extended the challenge to give out and serve and I hope you all had that opportunity. I also hope you all experienced the spirit testifying to you all that this was what you needed to do. Anyways this week we drive more new cars to our mission. We picked up 13 new equinoxes with our whole district and I got to drive alone twice haha. It was so nice to drive again and to see field upon fields of green. We also had interviews with president this week and it was amazing. I asked president about a couple of doctrine questions and fortunately he was able to answer them and with talks. So I apologize for the length of this email but I want you all to know that I love you all. Challenges wil...

From: Iosepa Nawahine <iosepa.nawahine@missionary.org> Date: Mon, Aug 10, 2020 at 6:55 PM Subject: Busy busy busy Aloha family, How are y'all? This week was crazy busy because of transfers and sadly my Canadian companion is gone:( but he is in a better place in the mission but I miss him. My new companion is elder Boren and he is awesome! He is from highland utah and he has been out for a year in about 4 days. He is really funny, but kind of quiet. We did a lot of service this week... for example: Saturday we had four service projects back to back. We started at 6 am and finished at 2 pm. We were so tired when we got home that we spent our lunch time sleeping haha. Though we were tired, the feelings that I felt were priceless. We have also talked to a lot of people this week and invited a lot more to church. Unfortunately none of them showed up but they said that they would try to come this week. Well I don't have a lot to write this week but my challenge is different....
