WEEK 49: ATTITUDE determines ALTITUDE!

Aloha family, 

I hope you all had a fantastic faithful week! My week was good and very fast. We did a service project literally every single day... and it was amazing. I know I already extended the challenge to give out and serve and I hope you all had that opportunity. I also hope you all experienced the spirit testifying to you all that this was what you needed to do. Anyways this week we drive more new cars to our mission. We picked up 13 new equinoxes with our whole district and I got to drive alone twice haha. It was so nice to drive again and to see field upon fields of green. We also had interviews with president this week and it was amazing. I asked president about a couple of doctrine questions and fortunately he was able to answer them and with talks. So I apologize for the length of this email but I want you all to know that I love you all. Challenges will come but you can and will overcome them. It all depends on your attitude. Have a positive attitude on the world and I promise that you will see the hand of the lord!! Again I love you all and hope you have a fantastic week!!

A lot of stuff has happened these past couple of weeks. My papa (my dad's dad) has been in the ICU for a week now because he contracted covid and pneumonia and it's been attacking his lungs bad. He spent all last week on a ventalator but because of miracles and prayer he is off but still on an oxygen machine this is supllying him with sufficient levels of oxygen. He is still in the ICU but is still fighting this tough battle! This weekend was crazy because we had a huge ice storm that froze everything with a thick layer of ice everywhere! Even all the blades of grass were frozen! Due to the storm we lost power for a whole day and it was so cold inside. WEEK 11: He's got the Monkeys!!! A bunch of monkeys!!

My companion got really sick this past week because he ate a mango from a guy off the street. So we were stuck in the house for a couple days because my comp was throwing up, had bad bowel problems, and he had a fever. So he was sleeping a lot and it gave me a lot of free time. So I took this time to study the language, read preach my gospel and the book of mormon, and read a lot of other books and watch movies in portuguese. It was really really fun... nah it was kind of boring to be stuck in the house, but it was good to have more time to study the words of God. This week we had lunch with a member and it was his birthday so he had a huge bbq. We had a lot of meat and rice and beans and a bunch of juice.
