He left September 3, 2019 on his birthday. Happy Birthday son!

September 3rd.  19 years ago we were blessed from our Heavenly Father and Iosepa was born.  His Papa gave him the name of Imiloapiliahi.  How ironic that our son left to serve the Lord on his birthday.  What a tribute to our Heavenly Father to give back 2 years of his life.  Love you son.  We'll miss you.  But this is where you need to be.  Go Hard!  Love you.

This week was different as you probably can tell from my title haha. There are a bunch of wildfires in oregon and surrounding oregon, so oregon has been covered in a cloud of smoke this whole week. Fortunately I have been ok but some missionaries have had to evacuate because of how close the fires got. Luckily they made it out safely and they are safe and sound with other missionaries. The air quality is hazardous outside so they put us in lockdown until further notice. But at least we have been able to make some funny videos. WEEK 73-74: Honor the family name you bear!

A lot of stuff has happened these past couple of weeks. My papa (my dad's dad) has been in the ICU for a week now because he contracted covid and pneumonia and it's been attacking his lungs bad. He spent all last week on a ventalator but because of miracles and prayer he is off but still on an oxygen machine this is supllying him with sufficient levels of oxygen. He is still in the ICU but is still fighting this tough battle! This weekend was crazy because we had a huge ice storm that froze everything with a thick layer of ice everywhere! Even all the blades of grass were frozen! Due to the storm we lost power for a whole day and it was so cold inside. WEEK 11: He's got the Monkeys!!! A bunch of monkeys!!

My companion got really sick this past week because he ate a mango from a guy off the street. So we were stuck in the house for a couple days because my comp was throwing up, had bad bowel problems, and he had a fever. So he was sleeping a lot and it gave me a lot of free time. So I took this time to study the language, read preach my gospel and the book of mormon, and read a lot of other books and watch movies in portuguese. It was really really fun... nah it was kind of boring to be stuck in the house, but it was good to have more time to study the words of God. This week we had lunch with a member and it was his birthday so he had a huge bbq. We had a lot of meat and rice and beans and a bunch of juice.
