This week was a pretty slow week full of stress with phone calls, some member lessons, and some service. We were supposed to have a lesson with some lady in Brazil but she forgot that day so we rescheduled for tomorrow... hopefully she won't forget this time haha.  We have been teaching a member family everyday for the past 2 weeks and it has been awesome. The father has a desire to love his wife more and be there more for his son. The spirit that is in their family now is beautiful and so is their faith.  For our service project we laid down mulch for a lady in the other ward. It was very hot but it was so nice to get outside the house and work. It is definitely a feeling that I miss.  Now back to my title of this week. Why is

From: Iosepa Nawahine <iosepa.nawahine@missionary.org> Date: Mon, Jun 1, 2020 at 6:10 PM Subject: Who are you? Aloha family,  I miss you all and hope everyone is well! This week was awesome because for one we had zone conference. Our zone conference was amazing and was so spiritual. We had the area president talk to us about the who we were, who we are, and who we will become. He told us that we were chosen and held back to be on this earth... now what he said next really brought the spirit. He talked about how wicked this earth is and how we knew this and we probably looked back at god and questioned why this one? Out of all your creations, why this one? Then god responds, "fear not, for look at all the others I shall send with you and i shall send my only begotten son down with you." After hearing this we all received courage and gladly took our place to come down in his due time. We are God's children and that will never change. He trusted all of us

I keep you all in my prayers and think of you all. This week was an awesome week full of zoom calls and regular calls with members as well. We have some investigators but not being able to knock on doors in the hot sun has changed the amount of people we teach. But as alma said, we go to being back at least some of our brethren to the truth. This week we setup an appointment with two girls who I was teaching back in Brazil. These girls were almost baptized but their mom wasn't going to let them but I believe the quarantine in Brazil has softened her heart. We have an appointment with them over video call this Wednesday and I am so excited! So as my title says it has rained every single day this week... i know its just oregon but it rains a lot. Luckily

Oregon is so beautiful and it rains like every day and it's kind of cold... and hawaiians don't do good in the cold haha. It's been good though bc we have been inside calling, teaching, preaching to members mostly. This is totally a different way of teaching for me especially bc Brazil is hot and we walked everywhere. My companion is elder gibbon and he is from Canada and he's awesome and such a baller. We are staying in an apartment with the APs and one of the APs is elder Baker so at least I have family down here with me. Our district is awesome but I do feel like a scrub bc I am the only junior... we have the APs, the office elders, and my companion is the district leader and i am the junior companion lol. But besides that my district is very s
