One big thing that you all should know is that the Brazil Recife mission will be dividing in July 2020 into the brazil Recife north and the brazil Recife south. This will affect me by bringing in a lot of missionaries to the mission, making 30 new areas, and bringing a lot more people to the truth. This was the biggest news that I have received since the beginning of my mission. And some of the missionaries that I have met, I might not see them again so it is crazy. Also in my mission we get to drive by the beach every so often and it sucks, because I will not be able to jump in. But it is okay because it does not smell the best as the one in Hawaii haha. Something that has been on my mind this week especially since i have seen the many difficulties of the peopl

My companion got really sick this past week because he ate a mango from a guy off the street. So we were stuck in the house for a couple days because my comp was throwing up, had bad bowel problems, and he had a fever. So he was sleeping a lot and it gave me a lot of free time. So I took this time to study the language, read preach my gospel and the book of mormon, and read a lot of other books and watch movies in portuguese. It was really really fun... nah it was kind of boring to be stuck in the house, but it was good to have more time to study the words of God. This week we had lunch with a member and it was his birthday so he had a huge bbq. We had a lot of meat and rice and beans and a bunch of juice. It was so good and I got the chance to cook some of the meat haha. That was the high

Nothing really big happened this week except the fact that there were these 2 guys who were looking for someone to kill (no joke). We were waiting at the bus stop and they were right by us grabbing stuff to stab and beat this person with. It was scary to be that close to something like that. Luckily the bus came right in time so we were not involved in anything. The only thing this week that really caught my attention is all of gods beautiful creations. Brazil is beautiful once you get past the smell and the poop everywhere haha. It is awesome to think that God could create something so beautiful for us and yet we take it for granted. So my challenge for you guys this week is to realize everything that God has given you. We are truly blessed and we should count our blessings

WEEK 9: Light and Dark....Good and Evil

From: Iosepa Nawahine <iosepa.nawahine@missionary.org> Date: Mon, Nov 4, 2019 at 1:59 PM Subject: Light and dark, Good and Evil Ola Minha Familia, I miss you guys and pray for your well being always. This week was interesting and kind of scary for me and my comp. First off we had a reference from one of the other missionaries this week and once we got to the house we felt the spirit leave. We tried to talk to the people but the spirit wasnt there and this is why. They had a sculpture that signifies satan in and outside their house. When we left their house I could not understand people because the spirit was not with me. When we got to our apartment all the lights were off and even the motion sensor lights did not turn on. We got in to our house and prayed and once we finished we looked outside the door and the lights turned back on. Some may believe it is just a coincidence, but in this church there is no such thing as a coincidence. I felt the evil of satan and I fe
